Growing up here in Wadduwa on this very same beach it was so important foe us to support the local community and help them build a better future for themselves.

A vision for sustainable tourism - this isn’t just a getaway spot - it’s a community project and lifeline. Every brick laid supports local craftsmanship, every design choice honors the coastline and every guest will help to fuel education and livelihood initiatives in the village.

After months of planning, our shipment of donations has now reached Sri Lanka. Seeing these boxes - filled with books, clothing, sports items and essentials - reminds us how powerful kindness can be when people come together for a common cause. Every single item tells a story of someone who cared enough to give.

We spent some time with the Wadduwa Central College cricket team during our last visit. They were in the midst of playing a variety of tournaments agianst UK teams and we watched them perform very well against Somerset U15s. Having spoken to the team we are keen to organise donations of cricket kit and equipment during summer 2025.

A wonderful day was enjoyed by the Wadduwa Elderly Committee who joined us to spend time with each other. True to Sri Lankan community they spend the day together singing, dancing and sharing stories. They were able to do something they rarely get to do and were also given a gift to take home which included personal hygiene and household essentials. We are all so grateful for your donations which made this happen. They have expressed immense gratitude for this day.
